Excuses Don’t Burn Calories

Most of us are quarantined and for those who aren’t?! GOOD NEWS...

As COVID-19 cases continue to emerge all over the world, many healthy individuals are being requested to stay at home in self-quarantine. Many fitness centers, gyms, and even apartment community fitness facilities where individuals are normally active, will remain temporarily closed. Staying at home for prolonged periods of time can pose a significant challenge for remaining physically active.

STAY PHYSICALLY ACTIVE!


Long story short, we want to avoid unnecessary weight gain!

WE ARE NOT ABOUT THAT LIFE!

Not only that, we need to protect our mental health and keep stress low!

Below you will find some tips on how to stay active:

ALL can be achieved at home.

  1. Participate in an online exercising class. (Youtube has a variety of videos and they are FREE)

  2. Walk. Walking in place or in small spaces can help you to remain active. (Going outside for runs is NOT recommended)

  3. Stand up. Sitting for long periods of time does more harm than good.

  4. Continue regular household activities. (Chores, laundry, cooking, helping children with activities, bothering your significant other, etc.)

  5. Relax. Meditating will help you to remain calm.




EAT HEALTHY AND STAY HYDRATED!


You are what you eat! It’s easy to get caught up eating out of boredom.


• Fill up on whole grains rather than refined foods.

• LIMIT the intake of salt, sugars, and fats.

• Eat of fruits and vegetables.

• Drink PLENTY of water.
