Budget-pHriendly Thanksgiving Dessert & Drink Ideas!

Its that time of the year again pHriends! Yes, you guessed it: Thanksgiving...one of our favorite holidays!

Whether you are hosting, or traveling out of town to visit family or friends, we're helping you prepare with a few budget-pHriendly desserts and drink ideas to entertain your guest. Got Kids? Not a problem. Unexpected guests? No worries. Limited budget? Can't cook? pHriends have got you covered. These are EASY recipes, very FEW ingredients, and most importantly--they FUN and TASTY!

4-Ingredient Pecan Pie Cheesecake


2 (8-oz) pkgs cream cheese, softened

1¼ cup caramel sauce

1 (6-oz) graham cracker pie crust

1½ cups toasted pecan halves


1. In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add 1 cup caramel sauce; beat until smooth. Spread mixture in pie crust, smoothing top. Refrigerate at least 2 hours.

2. In a medium bowl, combine toasted pecan halves with ¼ cup caramel sauce; toss to coat. Arrange pecans on top of chilled pie. Drizzle with any remaining caramel in bowl. Refrigerate 15 minutes or until ready to serve.

**Top with whipped cream and cinnamon, if desired.**

Keep The Kids Busy With These Fun Oreo Turkeys



1/2 c. white chocolate chips

1 tbsp. coconut oil

Red food coloring

40 candy eyes

20 Oreos

20 butterscotch chips

1 c. candy corns


1. In a microwave-safe bowl, add white chocolate, coconut oil, and a few drops food coloring. Heat in microwave in 30-second intervals until melted. Transfer melted chocolate to a small zip-loc bag or pastry bag and snip a small hole on the end.

2. Dot the back of candy eyes with melted chocolate and place two on each Oreo. Dot the back of butterscotch chips and place one each Oreo to create a beak.

3. Pipe a red line beside the beak to create a gobbler. Create feathers by stuffing four candy corns into the filling of the Oreo, point side down.

Cranberry Sangria


Cranberries, orange, and apple slices

1 750 mL Red Wine, fruity bottle

3 C Ginger ale

1 C. cranberry juice cocktail, chilled

6 oz. can frozen limeade concentrate

6 oz. can frozen orange juice concentrate

Fresh cranberries and orange slices for garnish


1. Add fresh cranberry, apple, and orange slices to a large pitcher or punch bowl. Top with 2 cups of cranberry juice, 1 cup orange juice and 1 bottle of wine. Refrigerate.

2. When ready to serve, add 3 cups of Ginger ale, stir and serve.

**Add fresh cranberries and oranges as garnish**

Spicy Cranberry Punch (Kid friendly Version of Cranberry Sangria)


1/2 cup red cinnamon candies

4 C. water

8 C. cranberry juice cocktail, chilled

6 oz. can frozen limeade concentrate

6 oz. can frozen orange juice concentrate


In small pan, melt candies in water; chill. At serving time, combine candy liquid and fruit juices in punch bowl. Stir to dissolve. Makes 18, 5-oz. cups
